Mick Martin has performed at diverse events across Queensland. His poetry has been published many times in national magazines including R.M. Williams Outback magazine and he has been a frequent guest on ABC radio to recite his poetry.

Mick has judged poetry competitions at many festivals and shares his poetic knowledge with high school students in schools. He has had a long involvement with the Australian Bush Poets Association and is currently their publicity officer.
